Today I was reminded of a song a close friend of mine came up with from Psalm 63:8.And it says this:
"My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me."
Lets break this down:The essence of our being following close like a shadow behind Jesus.
He is our strong hold. Our strong tower. When wanting to consider a relationship with someone, you tend to want to be near them often. And the times you aren't you seem to get lonely. At least there is one who "sticks closer than a brother..." and He will never leave you lonely.I've had to be shown that the times where I am most lonely, are the times that God wants me to talk to Him.Don't you think? If we are created and made in His image, then He gets lonely for us as well.He wants our full and undivided attention.
Just like in the song that Copeland sings:"You have my attention, like you've had all the while..." It saddens me how I've had His full attention this whole time, but I haven't given my full attention to Him.I just want to come out right and say Lord,I'm so sorry for that. You know I'm a working progress. This flesh I live in is so hard.Thats why Paul says it like this..."I have to die to my flesh daily.." and it's so true.I need to die to myself,my desires and the things that consume me.

Books I'm reading again:
Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers and Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge.

I would recommend reading them both if you haven't.So good.
Until then...I leave you with this:
Until then...I leave you with this:
"The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying:"I have loved you with an everlasting love;I have drawn you with loving kindness..."-Jeremiah 31:3
